Italian giants set to secure loan deal for out of favour West Ham star who has scored only THREE goals since £19million move

West Ham striker Niclas Fullkrug arrived in Italy on Monday evening ahead of completing his medical at AC Milan.

The Germany international was given permission to travel after Milan agreed terms on a loan with buy option for £12m which will see the Italians pick up Fullkrug’s wages in full.

West Ham have enquired about Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen as they search for a striker to replace Germany international Fullkrug and also want Fulham winger Adama Traore.

As Daily Mail Sport reported last month, Fullkrug can leave the London Stadium in January, with his first-team chances under Nuno Espirito Santo limited.

Milan and West Ham are currently in advanced talks over a deal that will see the centre-forward move to Italy on loan until the end of the season with an option to make the deal permanent being discussed around £14m.

The 32-year-old has made just nine appearances for the Hammers this season. He joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund in an initial £19million deal in August 2024 but his first season was restricted by injury and he has scored three goals in 28 games for the Hammers.

West Ham have held talks for Traore at Fulham and spoken to FC Utrecht about left-back Souffian El Karouani. However, they are not pursuing a move for Norwich City forward Josh Sargent. Wolves are understood to value Larsen above the £55million they rejected from Newcastle United in August.
