Italy legend reveals how Modric impressed Allegri’s Milan staff: ‘The first touches…’

Christian Vieri says Luka Modric impressed Massimiliano Allegri’s staff members at Milan with his very first touches: ‘No-look passes with the outside of the foot.’

Modric set to make Serie A debut

Modric is set to start for Milan in tonight’s Serie A game against Cremonese, the league opener in 2025-26.

The Croatian legend has joined Milan on a free transfer from Real Madrid and quickly impressed Allegri and his staff members.

“I asked my friend Bernardo Corradi, who is part of Allegri’s staff. He told me that the first balls he touched in training were all no-look passes with the outside of the foot,” said ex-Milan star Vieri, in an interview with Gazzetta.

“Unbelievable. With him, Milan pulled off a huge coup because at this level, age doesn’t matter.”
