Nicolò Savona joins Nottingham Forest from Juventus on August 29, 2025.
Nicolò Savona’s agent assures ‘nothing will change’ after Nottingham Forest fired their coach, but confirms Manchester City also made an approach to Juventus.
The 22-year-old Italian made the move to the Premier League in the final days of the transfer window for €13m plus bonuses, despite the fact he had recently signed a new contract in Turin.
“Nicolò had wanted to continue with Juventus, but the Bianconeri told us with great honesty that they would evaluate offers over the course of the summer,” agent Michele Puglisi told TuttoJuve.
“They had always left the door open, and the Premier League was certainly showing an interest. In the last few days of the window, there was greater intensity, and we restarted the talks with Nottingham Forest.
“They had already expressed interest a few months earlier, but it slowed down a little after his injury during the Club World Cup. It didn’t help the timing. Manchester City also asked for information, and reiterated their admiration for him, but I don’t know if you could talk about it being a genuine opportunity to join them.”

However, since the transfer, a lot has changed at his club, with Nuno Espirito Santo sacked in favour of Ange Postecoglou.
“Absolutely nothing will change, especially as Espirito Santo had only been able to see him a couple of times. He is a professional, he always works hard. Nicolò is enthusiastic, started training fully this week and is preparing for a big match against Arsenal,” continued Savona’s representative.
“He is happy with this opportunity and jumped straight into this new experience. The Premier League is currently the most important in the world and he wants to challenge himself.
“Juventus will always be important for Nicolò, it’s a club where he grew up. You cannot cancel those emotions, but a different story starts here.”
Savona was a product of the Juventus youth academy, working his way up to the senior squad and earning his first senior Italy call-up too.
The 22-year-old right-back has signed a contract with Nottingham Forest until June 2030, with an option to extend for another year.
