Italy’s fixtures in the international break – Serie A News

Following the Euro 2020 success, Italy have not seen a lot of encouraging results. They missed out on a place at the 2022 World Cup after losing their playoff semi-final to North Macedonia.

The Azzurri’s unconvincing performances in the qualifiers have now put them at risk of missing the upcoming European Championship. They are currently sitting three points behind Ukraine in Group C, albeit they have a game in hand over their rivals.

Luciano Spalletti’s side have already lost twice to England and also suffered a draw against the Lynxes. So they cannot afford more slip-ups in their matches in November, which are available to watch via the football streams.

Italy’s fixtures in the international break

Italy will welcome North Macedonia to Stadio Olimpico in a crucial match on Friday, 17 November.

Blagoja Milevski’s men are out of contention for the European Championship after picking up just seven points from their six matches. But they will aim to go out on a high by securing a positive result at the Stadio Olimpico this week.

Italy will be wary of the team that ended their World Cup qualification hopes in March last year.

If they emerge victorious on Friday, the Azzurri will need only a draw against Ukraine on Monday, 20 November to qualify directly for the Euro 2024.

However, they are expected to face stiff resistance at the BayArena, where the Blue and Yellow even held England to a 1-1 draw in September

Serhiy Rebrov’s men have won four of their seven matches and are now three points ahead of Italy.

Luciano Spalletti’s men are still guaranteed a playoff spot even if they don’t get the results they need in the two games in November. But for Ukraine, they must finish ahead of the Azzurri in Group C as they cannot qualify for the playoffs.
