Tottenham star James Maddison could be in line to debut a new celebration this Sunday against Arsenal.
The attacking midfielder has enjoyed a successful start to life at Spurs since his summer move from Leicester.
Maddison has scored two goals and assisted a further two in his opening six matches.
His first for the club came in their 2-0 win away at Bournemouth, with the 26-year-old pulling off his dart-throwing celebration.
The England international did the same in their 5-2 victory over Burnley, but he could now be set to try something new.
Speaking ahead of the north London derby against Arsenal, he was asked about his previous comments on being the ‘main man’ when having a roast dinner.
“Taken way out of context by the way that was,” he told Sky Sports. “The question was about being a showman and I said that’s how I am as a person, like a showman.
“Like if we’re at dinner, I like to tell jokes and stuff, so it kind of got a bit taken out of context.”
He added: “I enjoyed the memes nonetheless, some of them were absolutely hilarious.
“My group chat with my friends was just pinging in tweets and TikToks of me being the man main at a roast dinner, which I’m not entirely sure I said to be honest.
“We’re talking about being a showman but it was worth it for the banter, I might have to do a roast dinner celebration the next time I score.”
Maddison has quickly emerged as a fan favourite at Spurs given his impressive efforts this far.
A goal on Sunday against arch-rivals Arsenal would only strengthen this even further as he continues to shine under Ange Postecoglou.
It would also be the perfect opportunity for him to debut a new celebration, with Maddison looking to cook up a feast on the pitch this weekend.
