Joe Cole criticised Arsenal supporters’ celebrations after beating Chelsea 5-0 in Tuesday’s London derby clash as being ‘a bit too much’ and warned them of celebrating ‘a bit early’ with five games remaining in the title race.
The Gunners again moved top of the Premier League table with their stunning home victory over Chelsea as Mikel Arteta‘s side took a three point advantage over second-placed Liverpool and four clear of Man City.
Meanwhile, it was another difficult evening for Mauricio Pochettino‘s young misfiring Blues squad who remain ninth in the league standings after suffering another heavy defeat.
Former Chelsea star, Cole, was in no mood for hanging around at the Emirates after the game and was mocked by fellow TNT Sports and Arsenal icon pundit Martin Keown for missing Arteta’s post-match interview.
‘I was in the back of the cab ready to go home but they told me I had to come back to work,’ joked Cole following Arsenal’s dominant performance.

‘No interest in [hanging around to hear Arteta],’ he further added.
Keown was quick to jibe with Cole over Chelsea’s lacklustre showing at the home of their arch rivals, stating: ‘A bit like Chelsea’s team he went missing!’
Cole is evidently desperate to see Arsenal miss out on winning a first Premier League title since 2003 and warned Gunners fans against overcelebrating.
‘Wow! All I will say is, I heard fireworks from the Arsenal fans. I think that’s a bit early with five [sic] games to go. Celebrations were a bit too much,’ he replied to Keown.

Former Chelsea Premier League title-winner, Cole, also commented on a sign being shown in the away end by a young Blues supporter calling underperforming players to ‘fight’ for the club shirt.
‘I mean that kids wrote that before he’s come to the game as well. Rio’s [Ferdinand] right In the sense that it’s raw,’ he said after seeing the sign.
‘Now for Chelsea fans 5-0l, they’d be throwing things at the telly at home, and they’ll be, you know, cursing everything.
‘But ultimately, Chelsea at eight points better off at this stage than they was last year, you know?,’ he said.
