  • The match was suspended for 10 minutes after Vinicius reported that Benfica’s Gianluca Prestianni had made racist remarks towards him. The incident occurred after the Brazilian winger scored and celebrated near the corner flag.
  • Mourinho suggested Vinicius had “incited” the crowd with his dancing celebration, telling reporters: “When you score a goal like that you celebrate in a respectful way.” The Benfica boss claimed the Real Madrid star was not “just happy to score that astonishing goal.”
