Joshua Zirkzee has had a bright start to life on the field for Manchester United while away from the park it appears that he is acting as a pretty effective agent for the club as he tries to talk one of the game’s brightest talents into joining him at Old Trafford.

Zirkzee, who made a €42.5 million move from Bologna in the summer, has settled nicely under Erik ten Hag, with the 23-year-old having already opened his Premier League account.

And his former Bayern Munich teammate Jamal Musiala has revealed that the Netherlands international striker, who netted against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Saturday, is trying to talk him into a move to Old Trafford.

Speaking to Welt am Sonntag, the 21-year-old star admitted: “You always joke around with friends and dream of playing together in a team one day. The jokes go both ways: I also told Josh that he should come back to Bayern. But you shouldn’t take that too seriously.”

Musiala: I’m happy at Bayern

Musiala, who previously played with Chelsea at youth level and also represented England before switching allegiance to Germany, was also asked directly if he could consider playing for another world-class club given his contract with Bayern is up in 2026.

“I am very happy at FC Bayern and fully focused on our goals with the club and the national team. I don’t think too much about where I will be playing in five years. Things can always change quickly in the world of football,” he said.

Musiala is one of the most valuable players in the world, with an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €114.1 million. This is slightly down from his peak of €118.9m.

Certainly, there is no prospect of him leaving Bayern imminently, and with Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies both set to become free agents next summer, FCB will be desperate to ensure Musiala does not have the same fate.
