While it is true that Juventus asked about Edon Zhegrova this week, they are blocked by Nico Gonzalez, so Olympique Marseille remain favourites for the Lille winger.
Over the last few days, it has been clear that Marseille stepped up their pursuit of the Kosovo international, who has long been on the radar of several different Serie A sides.
Zhegrova always on Serie A wish lists
Now Roberto De Zerbi’s team want to get a deal done, especially as they are eager to avoid Juventus making their own offer.
Sportitalia’s Gianluigi Longari confirmed that Juve did ask after Zhegrova over the last few days, but that is as far as their approach went.
It is because the Bianconeri cannot sign a new winger unless they have first managed to sell Nico Gonzalez.
They are hoping that Atletico Madrid can resolve that problem for them by securing the ex-Fiorentina star, but it remains a waiting game, one that Marseille are eager to avoid.
