Juventus defender Cambiaso to be fined after red card vs. Parma

Juventus coach Igor Tudor confirms Andrea Cambiaso will be fined after receiving a straight red card in a 2-0 win over Parma on Sunday.

Juventus will fine Italian defender Cambiaso for receiving a straight red card in the final minutes of a Serie A game against Parma on Sunday.

Juventus coach Tudor confirmed the club’s decision during a post-match press conference attended by Football Italia last night.

“He made a silly move and he will be fined,” Tudor said.

“However, he is a player who is constantly evolving mentally. He has enormous potential, and I see him very focused and with a desire to improve defensively. He’s important for us.”

Cambiaso will surely miss the upcoming league game against Genoa at Marassi, but could potentially be ruled out of Juventus-Inter on Round 3 as well.

The FIGC Sporting Judge will confirm the length of Cambiaso’s ban on Tuesday after the completion of Serie A Week 1.

Two more games will be played today, Udinese-Verona and Inter-Torino.

Juventus eventually beat Parma 2-0 last night with goals from Jonathan David and Dusan Vlahovic.
