Juventus are on full alert after Ipswich Town were relegated from the Premier League, meaning transfer target Liam Delap’s release clause is active.

The 22-year-old centre-forward was unable to prevent Ipswich Town from plunging down a division into the Championship.

Their relegation was sealed this afternoon with a 3-0 defeat to Sandro Tonali’s Newcastle United.

It means that the release clause in Delap’s contract is now active, set at £30m, which is circa €35m.

Delap has drawn interest from Juventus

The striker has found the net 12 times in 33 Premier League games this season, along with contributing a pair of assists for his teammates.

Juventus have shown interest over the last few months, but they face strong competition from Manchester United, Chelsea and more Premier League teams.

A product of the Manchester City youth academy, Delap also had experiences playing for Stoke City, Preston and Hull City before the €17.85m move to Ipswich Town in the summer of 2024.

Bologna and Fiorentina had been linked with the player before he made the transfer to Ipswich.
