Juventus owner snubs struggling club in annual message for first time since 2021

While Juventus prepare to present new coach Igor Tudor to the media, the owner notably failed to even mention the club as one of its main assets.

The Bianconeri decided to pull the plug on Thiago Motta’s tenure after just eight months, bringing in Tudor this week.

He oversaw his third training session today, accompanied by director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli and CEO Maurizio Scanavino, who were watching on from the sidelines at the Continassa camp.

They will also both be part of the presentation press conference for their new coach on Thursday morning.

However, the tension behind the scenes at Juventus is evident, especially if they fail to secure Champions League qualification and their finances take a hit.

Juventus left out of Agnelli family round-up

The heir to the Agnelli fortune, John Elkann, wrote his annual letter to the shareholders of their holding company Exor.

He outlined the progress of companies under their umbrella, including Ferrari, Stellantis, CNH, Philips and Clarivate, but notably never mentioned Juventus.

La Gazzetta dello Sport point out this is the first time since 2021 that Exor have not referenced their football club at any point in their annual round-up.

Sacking Thiago Motta early into his contract could also potentially cost the club €15m, making it more likely Exor will have to inject fresh capital yet again.
