Juventus made a move for Bayern Munich’s Josip Stanisic during the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano.
However, Bayern demanded €50 million as a starting point for negotiations, which reportedly put off the Serie A side.
Bayern then offered Sacha Boey as an alternative, but Juventus were not interested in the Frenchman, and talks broke down.
With Alphonso Davies sidelined, Stanisic began the season as a regular starter at left-back before picking up an injury against Chelsea that is currently keeping him out.
The Croatian international is under contract with Bayern until 2029.
