Juventus star Conceiçao explains goal celebration against Inter

Juventus winger Francisco Conceiçao dedicated his goal against Inter to former Porto President Pinto da Costa: ‘This one is for you too.’

The Portuguese winger scored the winner in Juventus’ 1-0 win against rivals Inter on Sunday night.

Conceiçao shared pictures of his goal celebration on Instagram, adding a message for ex-Porto President Pinto da Costa, who had passed away on February 15 at 87.

“Mr. President, this one is for you too. Thank you and farewell,” Conceiçao wrote on Instagram.

The Portuguese winger is a product of the Porto academy and joined Juventus on loan from the Portuguese club last summer.

Conceiçao’s father, Milan coach Sergio, returned to Porto on Sunday to attend Pinto da Costa’s funeral today.

Juventus’ win against Inter allowed the Bianconeri to catch Lazio in fourth place on the Serie A table.

Portugal international Conceiçao has made 17 Serie A appearances for Juventus this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists. He has played eight matches in the UEFA Champions League, netting once and contributing one assist.
