Worrying news for Juventus and Luciano Spalletti ahead of the weekend: Dusan Vlahovic is now a major doubt for his highly anticipated return to Florence, where Juve face Fiorentina on Saturday at 18:00 CET.
According to reports from Serbia’s training camp, via CalcioMercato, the striker, currently the Bianconeri’s top scorer, was forced to leave the pitch early during Thursday’s international match against England after feeling a muscle problem.
Worry for Juventus as Serbia await Vlahovic injury verdict
The issue has since been examined by the Serbian national team’s medical staff, who have carried out further tests in recent hours to assess the extent of the injury.
While there is still no official update on his condition, early indications suggest Vlahovic will not be risked for Serbia’s next fixture against Latvia, with his participation in Saturday’s Serie A clash now in serious doubt.
Juventus are expected to monitor the situation closely over the next 48 hours, hoping that the issue proves to be minor but, for now, Vlahovic’s availability for the trip to the Franchi remains very much in question.
