Kane ahead of Bayern's return leg against Arsenal: “It's time to raise our level”

Ahead of Bayern’s second leg clash with Arsenal, Harry Kane says it’s time for the Bavarians to step up their game.

Harry Kane says it’s time for Bayern Munich to raise their level ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Arsenal.

The season has not gone to plan for the Bavarians, whose 11-year run of consecutive Bundesliga titles was ended by Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday.

But following a 2-2 draw in the first leg, there is still a chance for Kane and his teammates to do something special in Europe’s most prestigious club competition.

“It’s been a disappointing season for us in the league. Congratulations to Leverkusen for what they’ve achieved. We haven’t reached our level. I want to help the team, whether in the Champions League or in the league. We have a great opportunity here in our Arena tomorrow. We want to achieve something big. Personally, I want to help the team and score goals,” Kane said at a press conference on Tuesday.

“We have a lot of experience with players who have already played in big games. We’ve been better in the Champions League this season than in the Bundesliga. It’s time to raise our level. It will be a fantastic atmosphere in the Arena. We have great belief in ourselves that we can do it tomorrow.”

Kane reached the Champions League final with Tottenham in 2019, but lost 2-0 to Liverpool.
