Napoli are hoping to bring Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior back to Serie A in the summer, but the €35m asking price could be a problem.

The centre-back made his name in Italian football with an 18-month spell at Spezia, arriving from MSK Zilina in 2021 for €2.4m and sold less than two years later to Arsenal for €19.5m.

He had initially struggled for regular playing time in London, but has now become one of the more reliable figures for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Napoli, Juventus and Milan had already been linked with a proposal for Kiwior in January only to be rebuffed.

According to Il Mattino newspaper and Tuttomercatoweb, Napoli are ready to try again in the summer, even if they want the €35m asking price to be lowered by Arsenal.

The 25-year-old defender is valuable also for his versatility, able to play in central defence or as a left-back.

He made 28 competitive appearances for Arsenal so far this season, also scoring one goal and providing two assists.
