After returning to action in November following a long spell on the sidelines with a knee injury, Borussia Mönchengladbach captain Tim Kleindienst suffered another setback in December and has been out of action since.
Speaking to DAZN, the striker provided an update on his recovery.
“I hope that by the end of January or mid-February I’ll be at the point where I’m fully ready again,” Kleindienst said.
“It’s been very unfortunate. We’re talking about another small issue that isn’t anything major – it simply needed a minor procedure. Of course, that comes with a certain period of absence. That’s how it is – that’s the sport.”
Kleindienst scored 16 goals and provided 10 assists for Die Fohlen last season.
