Sunday’s reports claim that Inter are interested in pursuing a deal with Benfica for Turkey international Orkan Kokcu in the event that compatriot Hakan Calhanoglu leaves the Nerazzurri this summer.

Calhanoglu has been linked with a move to join Galatasaray this summer, who are reportedly prepared to offer the Nerazzurri midfielder a contract worth around €10m per season in wages.

A long list of names, including Nicolo Rovella and Ederson, have been linked with a move to join Inter as potential replacements for Calhanoglu, but reports in Portugal and Italy confirm that Kokcu is also of interest to Cristian Chivu and his team.

Recent reports indicate that Benfica will entertain offers in the region of €40m or above for the 24-year-old midfielder.

Inter are not the only team interested in the Turkey international, however. Calciomercato.com claims that the ‘Big Three’ in Turkey – Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas – have all expressed an interest in signing Kokcu this summer, as have Serie A sides Milan and Roma.

There have also been rumours of interest from unspecified Premier League sides.
