That is according to Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that Walker hopes to arrive in Milan by Monday evening.

A medical is set to be scheduled on Tuesday after which his transfer to Milan from Man City will officially be confirmed.

It has widely been reported in the Italian media that Walker has already agreed personal terms with Milan on a contract until 2027.

Milan and Man City are now finalising the agreement between the clubs.

The Italian giants were in talks for both Walker and Man Utd attacker Marcus Rashford this week but transfer rules only allow them to sign one non-EU player per transfer window.

Milan have opted to go for Walker, meaning they have pulled out of the race for Rashford.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola released a bombshell last week by revealing that Walker had asked to leave the club imminently.

“Two days ago, Kyle asked to explore the options to play abroad and end his career”, Guardiola said on January 11.

Milan have been on the lookout for a new right back, which has been a problem position for them this season.

Emerson Royal joined from Tottenham last summer but has struggled badly. Meanwhile, Davide Calabria is set to leave the club on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.

Walker will leave Man City as a club legend after an illustrious career at the Etihad.

The 34-year-old joined City from Tottenham in 2017 and has gone on to create history.

He has won 16 trophies at the club, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League.

He has played 319 games for the club, scoring six goals and has been widely regarded as one of the best right backs in the history of English football.
