Kylian Mbappe pulled out a neat skill to fool Man City‘s Josko Gvardiol before scoring his second goal of the night in Real Madrid‘s Champions League clash.

The Frenchman opened the scoring on the night after just four minutes with a smartly taken lob over City goalkeeper Ederson.

However, the Madrid No 9 saved his best moment for the 33rd minute when he received the ball from Rodrygo inside the box and shaped to shoot at goal.

City defender Gvardiol flew in front of Mbappe in attempt to block his shot, but the Madrid forward faked before chopping inside and smashing the ball into the net.

Reacting to the goal, TNT Sports commentator Darren Fletcher said: ‘Josko Gvvardiol might need a ticket to get back in the stadium.

‘Kylian Mbappe planted him in the turf and then planted the ball past Ederson.’

Meanwhile, co-commentator Rio Ferdinand said: ‘He’s absolutely laid the defender down on the floor and said ‘sit down there and watch me slot this home’.

‘Wonderful from Mbappe. Devastating. Lay down.’

In half-time analysis, Joleon Lescott then said: ‘He’s been exceptional. As soon as Kylian Mbappe got into that position (second goal) the level of composure and calmness.

‘This is the first time I’ve looked at him and thought ‘you actually remind me of Thierry Henry’ the way he’s playing with such elegance and smoothness’.

It took Mbappe just four minutes to open the scoring on the night after racing in behind the defence, leaving one City defender on the floor, before chipping Ederson.
