Kylian Mbappe scored his 20th Ligue 1 goal of the season after shrugging off his missed penalty to down Strasbourg.
The generational talent rarely puts a foot wrong but he was left red faced when his penalty in the seventh minute was saved by Alaa Bellaarouch, who was making his Ligue 1 debut for Strasbourg.
Mbappe looked at his team-mates in disbelief but perhaps surprise should not have been etched across all of their faces.
After all, Mbappe has seen four of his 12 penalties since the start of last season saved.
But, fear not, it would still be Mbappe who would steal the show, going on to score and lay on another for Marco Asensio to help guide PSG to a 2-1 win.

Mbappe’s goal came via a major slice of luck – and it’s a goal Bellaarouch won’t want to see again.
The 22-year-old goalkeeper took too long clearing a ball out from his feet and his attempted clearance was closed down and blocked by Asensio.
As a result, the ball fell kindly to an unmarked Mbappe, who had the enviably task of rolling the ball into an empty net.
Luis Enrique’s PSG would then further their lead shortly after half-time when Mbappe went from scorer to provider.
Asensio cooly converted from 10 yards out after being teed up by Mbappe, who picked out his team-mate with a stunning pass with the outside of his right boot.

Mbappe’s goal and assist display masked his earlier penalty miss and means the World Cup winner has now hit 20 goals in Ligue 1 in each of the past four seasons.
Strasbourg looked to secure an unfancied point when Dilane Bakwa volleyed in from close range, but PSG held on to stretch their lead over Nice at the top of Ligue 1 to nine points, albeit having played a game more.
PSG are top of the standings with 47 points, with second-placed Nice on 38 points. Nice face third-placed Brest, who have 35 points, on Sunday. Strasbourg are 10th with 25 points.
‘If we analyse the match from the beginning, it’s a good match against a strong rival, in good form, especially at home,’ PSG boss Enrique said.
‘We had a very positive mentality; when we needed to defend, we did it. Our goal is also to control the matches and know how to defend.’
PSG will next host Brest in the last 16 in the French Cup on Wednesday.
