Roma are prepared to send a €30m offer, including add-ons, for Palmeiras midfielder Richard Rios and continue negotiations for Brighton striker Evan Ferguson.
Roma have an agreement in place for Ferguson’s loan move from Brighton, but talks with the 20-year-old are still ongoing as the striker has also attracted interest from other Italian and European clubs.
Roma talks for Ferguson and Rios
As for the midfield, Palmeiras midfielder Rios is the Giallorossi’s priority target.
Talks between the two clubs began days ago, with the Serie A side ready to bid €25m plus €5m add-ons.
The Palmeiras asking price, however, is €30m plus bonuses, so negotiations will likely continue for some time.
Rios unsure over Roma move
It’s worth noting that Rios and his entourage haven’t yet given their approval to a move to the Stadio Olimpico and wish to consider their options before making a final decision.
Rios has also been linked with a move to Inter, but Roma are the only Italian club in talks for the 25-year-old.
