Angelo Fabiani seems uninterested that Lazio avoided a Europa League derby with Roma: ‘All teams are important. Viktoria Plzen are well organised.’
The Biancocelesti were paired with Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League last-16, avoiding a possible derby della Capitale with Roma.
The Rome-based clubs have also been placed on the opposite side of the bracket, so they can only meet in the Final.
“The derby always has a special charm, especially in Europe. At this stage, all teams we’re talking about are important teams,” Fabiani told Sky Sport via TMW.
“It will be a really tough two-legged tie. I’ve watched Viktoria many times, and they are a well-organized team.
“We had the courage to make changes, which is necessary in football,” continued the Lazio director.
“We’ve turned the page with players who are no longer here, like Immobile and Cataldi. We’re on a great path, the coach is doing well, and he has a squad that manages to compensate for various absences.”
