Lazio try to salvage their season with the Coppa Italia semi-final, starting Daniel Maldini against his old club, while Atalanta aim for another Final with Nikola Krstovic and Lazar Samardzic.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome at 20.00 GMT (21.00 CET).

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens on the Liveblog.

The second leg will be in Bergamo on April 21 or 22, with the winner going on to face either Inter or Como in the Final

These sides met in Serie A only last month, with Atalanta emerging from the Stadio Olimpico as 2-0 victors.

They also famously played in the Coppa Italia Final in 2019, with Lazio taking the trophy 2-0.

Raffaele Palladino has completely transformed their fortunes since replacing Ivan Juric in mid-November, putting them right back into the hunt for a top four finish, the only remaining Italian team in the Champions League, and looking for a fourth Coppa Italia Final in eight years.

Ederson, Charles De Ketelaere and Giacomo Raspadori are still out of action, as they suffered a Champions League hangover with Sunday’s 2-1 Serie A defeat to Sassuolo.

There is only very limited squad rotation, with Krstovic coming in for Gianluca Scamacca, supported by Samardzic and Nicola Zalewski.

Lazio’s season has been doomed from the start, first with the transfer embargo, then results failing to improve after a January reshuffle.

The fans also continue their protest against President Claudio Lotito, preferring to congregate outside the stadium rather than purchase tickets.

Toma Basic, Nicolò Rovella and Samuel Gigot are still on the treatment table, though Pedro and Mario Gila return to Maurizio Sarri’s squad.

Former Atalanta player Maldini faces his old club as a False 9, flanked by Gustav Isaksen and Mattia Zaccagni.

It is their last and best opportunity to salvage the campaign, as just reaching the Final would guarantee access to the Supercoppa Italiana next season, and winning provide a place in the Europa League.
