Lecce have not won a game since Patrick Dorgu‘s February move to Manchester United, and they are worryingly approaching the Serie A relegation zone.

The Denmark international formally joined the Red Devils at the start of February in a deal worth over €30m, and his departure from the Via del Mare seems to have strongly affected the team.

Lecce’s most recent victory in Serie A was on January 31, when the versatile defender was an unused substitute in a 3-1 away win against direct rivals Parma.

Lecce only collected three points in the following eight games, losing five times and drawing three.

Marco Giampaolo’s men only scored four goals in the process and conceded nine times.

Dorgu had been deployed as a left-back or an attacking winger in the first part of the campaign at Lecce, scoring three goals and providing one assist in 21 appearances.

The Salentini now sit 17th in the Serie A table, just two points above Empoli.

Their next league game is against Juventus at the Allianz Stadium this coming Saturday.
