Leeds United ‘agree deal to sign Premier League striker, as he heads for a medical’, despite interest from Man United, Newcastle and Aston Villa

Leeds United are set to bolster their squad with some Premier League experience as they close in on signing former Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin is a free agent after leaving Everton earlier this summer, ending a nine-year spell at the Toffees.

The next step in the 28-year-old’s career has been highly-speculated with Manchester United, Newcastle and Aston Villa having been among his suitors.

However, the England international is now bound for newly-promoted Leeds United.

According to The Athletic, terms between both parties have been agreed with the striker now set for a medical at Leeds’ Thorp Arch training ground.
