Die Rekordmeister could be in for a few alterations in their hierarchy this summer.

RB Leipzig would like to bring Christoph Freund back from Bayern Munich, according to Sky Germany.

Freund is already aware of the interest, but it remains unclear whether the role would be in Leipzig or Salzburg – and how he feels about it.

He is under contract as Bayern’s sporting director until 2027, but structural changes at Bayern across all levels cannot be ruled out.

Alongside Freund, the future of Max Eberl is also uncertain as journalist Florian Plettenberg reports.

Various names like Frankfurt’s Markus Krösche and Ralf Rangnick being considered by the Bavarians in case of changes.
