Leipzig not giving up on Nkunku return, per Sky Germany

Could we see Nkunku rejoin his former employers from the Bundesrepublik?

RB Leipzig still hold a high opinion of Christopher Nkunku and are interested in bringing him back to the club.

A permanent deal, however, is currently unlikely, according to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg.

Die Roten Bullen are also not planning a swap deal involving Xavi Simons who has been linked with Chelsea for some time now.

If anything, Leipzig would only consider a loan. Even then, there would need to be a special arrangement regarding wage coverage.

Nkunku, who left Leipzig to join the Blues for €60million in 2023, managed just 3 goals and 2 assists in 27 Premier League games last season.
