Bild reports that RB Leipzig are keen to offload five of their most experienced players.

According to Bild, RB Leipzig have decided that five of their most experienced players are free to leave the club this summer.

The report claims that Die Roten Bullen are prepared to get rid of Yussuf Poulsen (30, contract until 2026), Kevin Kampl (34, 2026), Péter Gulácsi (34, 2026), Willi Orban (32, 2027), and Lukas Klostermann (28, 2028).

All five rank among the top six in Leipzig’s all-time appearance list. Poulsen leads the group with 425 matches, having joined the club in 2013 and featured in the 3. Liga.

RB Leipzig are expected to undergo a major overhaul this summer following a disappointing 2024/25 campaign that saw the club miss out on European qualification for the first time since their promotion to the Bundesliga.

A key factor behind the decision is financial. Each player reportedly earns around €6 million per season – a wage burden Leipzig can no longer sustain without European income. The club plans to cut costs and refocus on younger, hungrier talent.

Despite the internal decision, Bild reports that Leipzig have not yet held formal talks with the players or their agents, with discussions expected to begin this week.
