Romulo is close to joining the Bundesliga side from Göztepe.

RB Leipzig are closing on a new striker signing with Benjamin Šeško continuing to be linked with Newcastle United. Sky’s Florian Plettenberg reports Leipzig and the 23-year-old reach full agreement for a contract until 2028.

However, the club are working on reducing Göztepe’s asking price to below €20 million. The Turkish Super Lig side currently demand €25–30 million for the player who signed a contract until 2028 when his loan from Athletico PR turned permanent last January for only €2.5 million.

Romulo scored 22 goals and registered 13 assists in his first 46 games in European football. Plettenberg added that the transfer is mainly linked with André Silva & Timo Werner instead of Šeško. The club should first find resolutions with the two strikers before completing the deal for Romulo.
