Bayer Leverkusen are closing in on the signing of Mario Hermoso from AS Roma.
According to Sky Germany, the German champions and AS Roma are close to an agreement on a loan deal.
Only small details remain to be ironed out before Bayer 04 can seal the signing of the centre-back.
Die Werkself want the 29-year-old to provide cover for Jeanuel Belocian, who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
In addition to Hermoso, Leverkusen are also expected to announce the signing of attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia from Aston Villa before the end of the winter transfer window.
