Leverkusen consider two Liverpool youngsters as part of Wirtz deal

Bayer Leverkusen are toying with the idea of bringing two players into the ongoing discussion with Liverpool for Florian Wirtz.

Sky’s Florian Plettenberg reports Bayer Leverkusen are entertaining the idea of including Harvey Elliott or Jarell Quansah in Florian Wirtz’s expected sale to Premier League champions.

Liverpool and Leverkusen are yet to reach a full agreement on the price tag of the sought-after attacking midfielder. Including Elliott and Quansah in the deal could bring solutions, but it’s never easy to depend on additional transfers that require the willingness of the players in question.

After securing his place under Jurgen Klopp, Elliott barely played under Arne Slot in the past season. Quansah was also out of favor in Liverpool’s 20th league title campaign, despite Joe Gomez’s absence due to a serious injury.
