Leverkusen’s hunt for a right wing-back goes on after a fee couldn’t be agreed for Clauss.
Kicker.de have reported that the transfer of Jonathan Clauss to Bayer Leverkusen has fallen through this evening, August 25.
It is suggested that the two clubs failed to come together and agree on a transfer fee for the French full-back.
There had been strong indications that Clauss would be signed by the Rhinelanders, but it now seems unlikely that the deal will go through.
Leverkusen have turned their attention elsewhere for this position as the search for a right wing-back continues.
Meanwhile, L’Équipe are aware of interest from Paris FC for Arthur, who appears shy on trust to fulfil the role vacated by Jeremie Frimpong.
No concrete steps towards the 22-year-old Brazilian have been initiated yet, but a sale is unlikely given Die Werkself are short on cover there.
