Liam Delap SPLITS with model girlfriend over Chelsea move

Chelsea striker Liam Delap has split with his girlfriend following his big-money transfer to West London, which was said to be the final straw for his ex-partner.

Delap dated Leanna Paul for more than a year, but according to Glam, Set, Match, the Scottish model has had enough of the behaviour of the forward since joining the Stamford Bridge outfit.

The former Manchester City academy product stands accused of an alleged infidelity, which was the reason the relationship was ultimately ended.

Game, Set and Match reports: “We are told the final straw was on June 28, when Leanna received information that her boyfriend was flirting with yet another girl (who cannot be named) in London. Having dismissed previous claims without evidence, the model and influencer was forced to really call it quits with the footballer competing in the Club World Cup tournament, after seeing the evidence for herself.

A source is even quoted as having said: “She immediately blocked him as she didn’t believe the first story, but after seeing evidence of her boyfriend speaking to a girl, she immediately phoned him when he was in Miami and told him that she was breaking up with him.”

Delap’s start to life at Chelsea

Delap has already made his competitive Chelsea debut with the club in the FIFA Club World Cup, where the Blues have made a run to the semi-finals, in which they will face Fluminense.

He has featured on five occasions, starting each of the last four. During this time, he has notched his first goal for the club in a 3-0 victory over Esperance.

Even with Nicolas Jackson returning to the fold after suspension, Delap has retained his spot ahead of the Senegal international striker and is in line to be Chelsea’s first pick at No.9 for the beginning of the new Premier League season.
