Liverpool are reportedly favourites to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi on a free transfer when the season concludes.
Guehi was on the verge of joining the Premier League champions last summer. A £35 million deal was agreed between the clubs, but the move fell through on deadline day despite a medical being completed.
Palace could not find a suitable replacement in the transfer market and decided to pull the plug on the deal.
Guehi has since returned to action for the Eagles, but he is expected to leave when his contract expires next summer.
Bayern Munich are also contenders for the former Chelsea graduate, but AS claim that Guehi has a great desire to join Arne Slot‘s side after missing out on a deadline day transfer earlier this summer.
Guehi could be seen as a direct replacement for Ibrahima Konate in the right centre-back role. Konate looks likely to leave the English champions when his contract expires at the end of the season.
