Guehi bid made by Liverpool

Liverpool have made an official bid to sign Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi, according to journalist David Ornstein.

The Merseyside giants have had a fantastic transfer window and have already signed Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Giovanni Leoni.

They are aiming to add a couple of recruits before the deadline and it is claimed that they have made a formal bid worth 35 million pounds to purchase Guehi.

Palace have yet to respond to the transfer proposal, but there is anticipation that they will demand at least £40 million pounds with add-ons for the central defender.

Guehi has entered the last year of his contract with the FA Cup holders. Should a deal not materialise, the Englishman could walk away on a free transfer next summer.

Palace are determined to avoid the situation and are most likely to sanction his sale before the transfer window closes on Monday night. Guehi has already agreed terms with the Reds.
