Liverpool could outbid Newcastle United for Hugo Ekitiké, with Kicker reporting that Eintracht Frankfurt may be willing to settle for less than €100 million.

According to multiple reports, Liverpool are preparing to step up their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitiké.

Sky Germany reports that the Reds are willing to outbid Newcastle’s initial offer of €80 million, which was rejected by Eintracht Frankfurt, who are demanding €100 million for the Frenchman.

Kicker, meanwhile, suggests that Frankfurt may be open to some negotiation and that a deal could be struck for somewhere between €90 million and €95 million.

A move to Saudi side Al Hilal is said to be out of the question, as the player wants to remain in Europe.

Eintracht would have to pay 20 percent of the transfer fee to Paris Saint-Germain, as the French champions secured a sell-on clause when they sold Ekitiké for €16 million last summer.

Nevertheless, Eintracht can obviously look forward to a handsome profit.
