One of Liverpool’s star players has spoken out after reports linked him with a summer move to Real Madrid, admitting that he is aware that he is ‘loved’ by the Spanish giants.
Liverpool are on the verge of securing the Premier League title but, despite their credentials, they have still seen top players being tempted by Real into joining the historic La Liga side.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is already believed to have agreed personal terms to move to Madrid on a free transfer when his contract ends this summer and recent speculation has suggested that Real are keen to see Liverpool teammate Alexis Mac Allister join him.
However, Mac Allister brushed off the rumours and insisted he was happy in Liverpool, with the Argentine instead committed to his performances on the pitch.
“I read the rumours and the news reaches me, but the important thing is the present. As much as the club loves me, if I play badly this weekend, they will lose interest,” Mac Allister told Argentine outlet TyC Sports.
“I’m fine at Liverpool and I don’t need to leave. I have a lot of respect for the club and I don’t think it’s necessary to talk about other institutions.”

Real Madrid set for Mac Allister disappointment
Mac Allister has been a standout performer for Liverpool since joining from Brighton in 2023 for €42 million, with the 26-year-old thriving in a deeper midfield role.
The player’s pedigree was boosted by leading Argentina to World Cup glory in 2022, which has led to Real considering Mac Allister as a potential option to strengthen their midfield.
However, with three years remaining on his contract at Anfield, Liverpool would undoubtedly demand a substantial fee for Mac Allister’s services, perhaps towards the top end of his €117m ETV.
Real may have lured Alexander-Arnold away from Liverpool but Mac Allister’s commitment to the club will ensure that there is not any further upheaval for Arne Slot this summer as he looks to build on an incredible debut campaign at the club.
