Liverpool are reportedly ready to raid the Bundesliga yet again this summer by completing the signings of Michael Olise and Yan Diomande.
The Reds bolstered their first-team squad with the signings of Bundesliga trio Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong last year, in addition to several other new players, and they are once again keen to return to the German top flight in 2026.
Arne Slot’s side have suffered a major regression from their title-winning campaign last year and the Anfield hierarchy are willing to spend big this summer in a bid to challenge for top spot in 2026-27.
The club are expected to prioritise the signing of a new central defender when the summer transfer window opens, amid concerns that Ibrahima Konate will depart on a Bosman deal, while they have also been tipped to sign a midfielder as a long-term replacement for Alexis Mac Allister.
Liverpool are also set to target forward reinforcements, with Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah both potentially on the way out of the club this summer.
Widespread reports have suggested that Olise and Diomande are their preferred targets for the right wing role and transfer reporter IndyKaila has revealed that Liverpool will look to sign both players later this year.
He posted on X: “Our high-level source at Liverpool has provided us information that the club are in talks with Michael Olise’s representatives and will activate the release clause once personal terms are agreed.
“Liverpool want to sign both Michael Olise & Yan Diomande this summer.”
Will Liverpool sign Michael Olise and Yan Diomande?
It has been reported that Bayern could demand a fee of €150 million for Olise this summer, while RB Leipzig have no intention of allowing Diomande to depart unless an offer worth at least €100m is submitted.
As a result, Liverpool will likely be required to fork out €250m to sign the duo, which may prove difficult given the lack of sellable assets currently at Anfield.
Furthermore, the Reds spent close to €500m last summer and with no notable sales on the cards, a double deal may prove difficult.
