Liverpool youngster ‘PUNCHES’ Man United academy player but escapes red card

A Liverpool academy player has appeared to punch a Man United youngster before later elbowing him.

Luca Furnell-Hill seemed to commit the foul as Liverpool U18s went up against United in the youth Premier League.

As Ethan Wheatley attempts to get past Furnell-Hill, the Liverpool player appears to punch him.

More footage then seems to show Furnell-Hill elbowing the Man United player, too. 

Wheatley scored on the night alongside Jayce Fitzgerald, Ethan Williams and James Scanlon.

Meanwhile, Trent Kone-Doherty, Kieran Morrison and Michael Laffey were the scorers for the Reds.

On the back of their 4-3 victory, United continue to dominate the league having won 14 out of 14 matches.

They also have a 17-point lead over their rivals Manchester City, who are second.

Meanwhile, Liverpool will stay in third place with 24 points after the defeat by United.

Fans were quick to react to the incident on X, with one person writing: ‘Actually disgusting Liverpool should be looking into this not right for this to happening.’

Another added: ‘Hope the right people see this and he is banned.’

A third also wrote: ‘This should result in a long ban!!!’
