Louis Thomas Buffon Czech Republic
Louis Buffon, the son of Italy legend Gianluigi Buffon, has just scored his first goal for the Czech Republic at Under-18 level.
The 17-year-old attacking winger chose to represent the nation of his mother, model Alena Seredova, rather than his World Cup winning father.
However, as it is still at youth level and he has dual Italian and Czech citizenship, he would be free to change that in future.
Buffon following in father’s footsteps
Originally part of the Juventus youth academy, he moved to Pisa in 2023 and made one appearance for the senior squad in Serie B this season, earning the promotion after six goals in 20 games for the youth squad.
Today was his second cap at Under-18 level for the Czech Republic and he found the net in an impressive 4-1 friendly victory over France.
During this tournament in Portugal, the teenager had also played the 2-2 draw with England and started the 2-0 defeat to the hosts.
