Moritz Jenz will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on his nose, the club have confirmed.

Meanwhile, Danny da Costa suffered a thigh muscle strain against Frankfurt and will not train for the time being.

The game against Die Adler proved to be highly attritional for Mainz as da Costa limped off with Dominick Kohr inside the first 26 minutes.

It was later confirmed that the knock sustained by Kohr was in fact a season-ending injury.

A return to team training for da Costa will be dependent on his healing process. Die Nullfünfer take on VfL Bochum this weekend.
