Major boost for United as 21yo sensation rejects Real Madrid

Manchester United have been handed a major boost in signing Dinamo Zagreb starlet Martin Baturina next summer.

The Red Devils have been closely following the progress of the Croatia international, who has been described as the next big thing in his country.

Baturina has already made his mark in the Champions League this campaign and he was praised as a ‘strong player’ by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Patrick Berger has now revealed that Baturina was offered a contract by Real Madrid, but he has turned them down due to their plans for him.

Los Blancos want to loan him out to another Spanish club for two seasons, but Baturina prefers to become a consistent starter for an elite team.

This has handed a big boost to the Red Devils, who are aiming to add another attacking midfielder to their ranks under Ruben Amorim.

Baturina can be signed for just £21 million at the end of the season, but he is likely to demand regular playing time to move to Old Trafford.
