Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker has emerged as a right-back target for Everton this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The England international fell out-of-favour under manager Pep Guardiola last term, and spent the second half of the season on loan with AC Milan.
Milan did not take up the option to buy him, and he is now expected to join another club on a permanent agreement in the coming weeks.
Fenerbahce recently made a proposal under the recommendation of manager Jose Mourinho, but Everton are aiming to hijack the deal.
The Toffees are eyeing an experienced right-back in their squad with Ashley Young‘s departure. Jack O’Brien could play in central defence next term.
Walker has been identified as the ideal acquisition, but a transfer could depend on the right-back accepting a reasonable pay cut.
City are unlikely to demand a high fee for the ex-Tottenham man. They could be willing to grant his departure for around £10 million.
