Manchester City fans have been slammed for taking pictures with rival legend Rio Ferdinand prior to their clash against Real Madrid.
The City fans had gathered outside of the Etihad stadium in anticipation for their Champions League quarter-final second leg tie against the Spanish outfit, when Ferdinand appeared.
The awaiting fans quickly swarmed the former Manchester United captain and swiftly began taking selfies and pictures with him.
In a video captured by Mail Sport, Ferdinand can be seen wading through a large crowd of City fans as he made his way into the stadium.
Ferdinand was on punditry duty on the night for TNT Sports, as he regularly does for the Champions League fixtures.

It didn’t take long for rival fans to question the actions of the home supporters, who revelled in Ferdinand’s appearance outside the Etihad.
One fan said: ‘Any City fan getting a selfie with him needs a 5 year ban, why the f*** would you do that’.
An Everton fan commented: ‘Is that not like us getting a selfie with Gerrard??’ with a string of laughing emojis accompanying his message.
‘Weird behaviour this,’ another fan wrote.
A Manchester United fan replied: ‘City fans taking pics with a rival?! Couldn’t be my club’.
In a brutal and blunt assessment, another supporter wrote: ‘State of modern football’.
Ferdinand spent 12 years at City’s rivals where he won a plethora of trophies including six Premier League’s and a Champions League.
He made 455 appearances for the Red Devils before eventually leaving to join QPR in 2014.

In the match, Kevin De Bruyne saved Manchester City late on against Real Madrid with the game going into extra time and Erling Haaland substituted.
The midfielder equalised for City with just short of 15 minutes remaining in the game with a fine finish to send the fans in attendance in Manchester into raptures.
After a tepid start to the game, Kyle Walker was left on the floor as Rodrygo gave Real Madrid the lead against Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
