Newcastle United will reportedly be offered the chance to sign Manchester City star Jack Grealish when the 2025 summer transfer window opens.

The England international has only started six Premier League games so far this season and he has been widely tipped to leave the Etihad Stadium this year amid his struggles under Pep Guardiola.

Grealish has less than two years remaining on his current contract at Man City and his representatives are now scouring the market for his next club, according to Chronicle Live.

Man City are reportedly open to selling Grealish this summer and Newcastle are set to be offered the chance to sign him.

Eddie Howe’s side already have Anthony Gordon and Harvey Barnes as options on the left flank, although Grealish is capable of playing in an attacking midfield role and it was in this position in which the 29-year-old thrived at Aston Villa.

Villa have also been tipped to pursue a summer move for Grealish, although they are unlikely to re-sign the England star if they decide to purchase Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal once his loan spell from Manchester United ends.

What has Pep Guardiola said about Jack Grealish?

When asked why Grealish has struggled for game time so far this season, Guardiola told reporters in January: “Do I want the Jack that won the Treble? Yeah I want it, but I try to be honest with myself for that.

“They have to fight. You can say it’s unfair. OK, if you think that, then it’s fine, but you have to prove [to me], ‘OK, I’m going to fight with Savinho, to deserve to play in that position’, every single day, every single week and every single month.

“I don’t have any doubt about the quality of Jack or any of these players. They would not be here [otherwise].

“I fought a lot for him, fought a lot to be here. I know that he can do it because I saw him. I saw his level and I want that, every single training session and every single game.”
