Man City take on rivals Liverpool in the quarter-final of the competition with both sides just one win away from Wembley.
Manchester City and Liverpool’s FA Cup quarter-final clash is not expected to take place in the normal showpiece slot of 4pm on Sunday, due to the Champions League. The clash between the two Premier League giants is the standout tie as the last eight teams battle to make it to Wembley.
However, both teams’ possible participation in the Champions League could restrict when the match can be played. The quarter-final is scheduled for the weekend of April 4, with the date and time of the fixture yet to be confirmed.
However, the Champions League quarter-finals will take place just days later. Should either Man City or Liverpool get through their round of 16 clashes, then it will have an impact.

City travel to take on Real Madrid in their first leg on Wednesday night, before the return leg next Tuesday (17 March). Liverpool, meanwhile, travel to Turkey to take on Galatasaray tonight (5.45pm kick-off), with the second leg taking place next Wednesday (18 March) at Anfield.
In the last FA Cup round, TV slots ranged from Friday night, three games on a Saturday, two games on the Sunday and one on Monday night. If they remain similar, then it’s likely City vs Liverpool will be played in one of the slots on either Friday or Saturday.
City booked their place in the quarter-final of the competition thanks to a 3-1 away win over Newcastle on Saturday night. 24 hours earlier, Liverpool were the first team to claim their place in the final eight thanks to a 3-1 away win over Wolves.
The other quarter-finals will see Chelsea vs League One side Port Vale, Championship Southampton hosting Arsenal, and the all-Premier League tie between West Ham and Leeds.
The scheduling problem could also impact both Chelsea and Arsenal, should they make it through their own Champions League knockout games.
Chelsea face PSG away on Wednesday night, while Arsenal are also away against Bayer Leverkusen, with the return legs taking place next Tuesday.
Should all four English teams make it through their ties, then it is likely to leave broadcasters with no choice as to put West Ham vs Leeds United in the Sunday 4pm slot.
