Manchester United‘s £52million summer signing Leny Yoro has returned to training on the grass at Carrington for the first time since fracturing a metatarsal against Arsenal in pre-season.

Yoro was injured half an hour into the game against the Gunners at the SoFi Stadium in July, just 10 days after completing his move from Lille in time to make his debut against Rangers and join United’s summer tour of the US.

The Frenchman was ruled out for approximately three months after surgery, and United gave an update on his rehab on Monday.

The club posted a video of Yoro starting an individual training programme outdoors at Carrington, and say that he will managed carefully so he can rejoin the main group in the next few weeks. The video also showed the 18-year-old performing a series of exercises in the gym.

The club said: ‘Our No 15 has now progressed to the next phase in the process.
