The Cameroon international has enjoyed his best season so far for the Bees in the Premier League this season and now CaughtOffside have reported that a trio of English clubs are in the hunt for his signature.

The outlet states that: “Manchester United, Liverpool and Aston Villa, while Brentford are expected to ask for around £40million for the 25-year-old.”

Mikel Arteta’s side is continuing to grapple with some attacking issues. Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard have struggled to find consistent form, meaning that Arsenal have been heavily reliant on Bukayo Saka for any goals or assists.

There is huge speculation around the future of Alexander Isak, who has scored four in his last five games but made a poor showing in the Magpies’ 2-0 loss to West Ham on Monday night. This could, perhaps, free up funds for the club.

Thomas Frank on Bryan Mbeumo’s future

The 25-year-old has arguably been Brentford’s best player for the past two campaigns and the club are well aware of their place in the food chain. In September, Frank admitted he does not know where the future lies with the attacker.

“He was our biggest miss for four months last year, even with Toney out. He was our key player and has added another layer this season with five goals in six games. That’s incredible and he’s creating chances.

“He’s a top player. I’m convinced he will play for a bigger club. I’d buy him if I was at a bigger club! We convinced him to stay and he’s very happy.

“All our players might need to leave us one day but a lot of them are happy because we have a top enviro
